Google Classroom is now in session! Google Apps for Education educators have access to Google’s newest tool for education- Google Classroom. Similar to Edmodo, Classroom gives teachers the power to assign, track, and collect student work, while also streamlining communication with your class. Classroom is based on the principle that educational tools should be simple and easy to use, and is designed to give teachers more time to teach and students more time to learn. During this hands-on 2-hour workshop, we will cover the basics of Google Classroom, discuss tips and tricks for Classroom use, build comparison and differences to other LMS platforms, and explore other ways to integrate Google Classroom in your learning environment, while allowing you to create a ‘Classroom’ customized for your school This is the all-in-one solution that combines all previous tools and strategies, using Google Apps, to create a seamless student management system built into Google’s ecosystem. Google Classroom- more time teaching, less time tech-ing.
