The Spring Midwest Summit is a two-day, hands-on conference focusing on integrating Google for Education in K-12 and Higher Ed learning environments. All presentations will be from Google for Education Certified Innovators and Certified Trainers, and local Googley talent!

Aida Awad has been an authorized Google Education Trainer since the very early days of the program. She is also a Google Geo Teacher. She has presented at conferences and workshops, and provided technology integration training across the country including: ISTE, T&L NSBA, ICE, IETC, ESRI UC, RSAC, CyTSE, GLOBE, and GSA. Aida is also a Hapara Certified Educator. She finds working with adult learners who are keenly committed to improving instruction through technology integration to be a true pleasure! Aida has also been serving as the Science Department Chair at Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois since 2003. Prior to serving as Department Chair, she taught Geology, Earth Systems Science, and Chemistry for nine years. Aida serves on several professional organization boards. She is past Chair of the Geological Society of America, GSA, Education Committee. She is past president of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers, NAGT. She earned a B.S. in Geology and a B.A. in Political Science at University of Illinois at Chicago in 1981, and an M.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences at University of Illinois at Chicago in 1993.
